U.S. Senator John Kennedy has announced that Louisiana will receive $13.1 in FEMA grants to protect home owners from future flooding. The grants will be for the following parishes:
- Lafourche (residential elevations) – $1.2M
- Jefferson Parish – 2016 Reconstruction of Flood Prone Structures – $4.6M
- St. Tammany Parish – FMA 2016 Elevation Application II – $5.2M
- Livingston Parish 2016 FMA – $2.1M
